Let’s Eat Out! Food Carts & Fun Thursday evenings 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. May 7 – August 27, 2015

We are excited to share the awesome news that Let’s Eat Out! is coming to Elvehjem and East Buckeye Neighborhoods. The group is the brainchild of Christine Ameigh who decided to assemble a coalition of independently own food carts dedicated to, “promote[ing] and advocate[ing] for the success of local mobile food entrepreneurs while bringing neighborhoods together and expanding access to local food.” And Let’s Eat Out! will be doing just that on Thursday evenings throughout the summer at 4909 East Buckeye Road (at City Church). In the spirit of the words of the keynote speaker from the Mayor’s Neighborhood Conference last fall—“If you aren’t looking to partner, you aren’t thinking big enough”—Elvehjem Neighbor Sarah O’Callaghan and ENA Board President Tiff Roltgen are heading up the effort to partner with individuals and community groups who would like to share their time and talents on various Thursday nights throughout the summer. In the works are local musician Jason Moon providing musical entertainment to diners, “Bike Night” encouraging attendees to bike to the food carts and featuring bike-related activities, and a home-based business bazaar.
