Lyrics

St. Thomas Blues
Written By Jason Moon

Standing in line with a bottle of wine and fifty sleeping pills.
Well I can’t imagine anything worse than too much time to kill.
But nobody loves me anyways,
Everybody just looks and stairs.
As I sit on the stage trying to sing my song. Yeah, no one even cares.

Well I started the show about an hour ago with so much on my mind.
I got up on stage and I gave it my all, but I was just wasting time.
Cause no one hears my music.
It’s like a great big game of solitaire.
Tears roll on down my face. Yeah, no one even cares

Well I’ve sung my songs about the down and out and they’ve laughed me off the stage.
I sung my songs about women’s rights, and they said I was a fag.
I guess I tried just a little too hard,
To show this worlds unfair.
From where I stand, I stand alone. No one even cares.

Well she left me, a year ago, on a day just like today.
And all her friends, who knew me then, they got nothing good to say.
And her memory it haunts me,
Like a great big walking nightmare.
As I sit here tonight, trying to make it right. Yeah, no one even cares.

Well I’m sitting here with this empty glass; I guess I’ll fill it one more time.
Tomorrow morning, if I wake up, all the dreams I’ve had have died.
I’ve finally come to realize,
I don’t fit in anywhere.
So I bow my head and I raise my glass. Yeah, no one even cares.

So you can take my songs for all there worth and you can throw them all away.
Take my guitar, burn it up, until it smolders into gray.
I’m sick of being sick,
Of hanging around in the middle of nowhere.
I’ll sing it through just one more time. No one even cares.

Standing in line with a bottle of wine and fifty sleeping pills.
Well I can’t imagine anything worse than too much time to kill.
But nobody loves me anyways,
Everybody just looks and stairs.
As I sit on the stage trying to sing my song. Yeah, no one even cares.
