Lyrics

Let’s Be Passive
Written By Jason Moon

(Chorus)
Let’s be passive and not question authority.
Let’s spend our lives in front of a T.V. screen.
We’ll be apathetic and we won’t vote, they’ll be the lion and we’ll be the goat.
And everything will be just fine.

I wanna live in a big fat house, and I wanna marry a big fat spouse,
And I wanna work for the fast food industry.

Minimum wage that’s alright with me, I don’t need social security,
Because I won’t be alive when I retire.

And I won’t care about politics, don’t wanna know what makes the government tick.
As long as I get my cable TV.

I wanna be a couch potato, feeling just like Kato Kaelin,
Cause when your famous everything is free.

(Chorus)
Let’s be passive and not question authority.
Let’s depend on the government for all of our needs.
Forget about the constitution, we’ll bow down to the institutions.
And everything will be just fine.

And I’ll believe everything I read, from anyone with a PhD.
Cause we all know knowledge belongs up on a shelf.

I’ll have my news spoon feed to me, by the New York Times enquire.
And I’ll walk around with no thoughts for myself.

And I’ll always be politically correct, and show everyone the greatest respect.
Cause you can change four-hundred years with just two words.

I’ll read the white man’s history books, but I won’t take a second look.
To a time when a man was less than two-thirds.

(Chorus)
Let’s be passive and not question authority.
Let’s spend our lives in front of a T.V. screen.
We’ll be apathetic and we won’t vote, they’ll be the lion and we’ll be the goat.
And everything will be just fine.
